  • Spotlight on Julian James, CEO of Lockton

The community programme at Lockton is a great example of inspiring and effective corporate community involvement. Could you tell us about it as well as what makes your corporate social responsibility programme so strong?

Lancaster Office Cleaning Company is a family run, corporately managed organisation, established in the City of London in 1976. As well as their core services of office cleaning and window cleaning, Lancaster also offers an extensive range of support services. The company has long had a CSR programme, but it joined the Newcomers’ Programme in the hope that Heart of the City could help make their programme more strategic.

  • Spotlight on David Cruickshank, Chairman, Deloitte

There have been quite a few of these, but I think the one that stands out is when I visited the Harris Academy Bermondsey last year to speak to a group of staff and students and give them insight into the world of business.
