ADM Investor Services International Limited is one of the 20 businesses we spoke to as we celebrate having supported 1,000 London businesses. This City of London business has been a member of Heart of the City since 2013, so we were excited to ask about its responsible business journey.
We spoke to Terrie Lewis, Senior HR and Training Advisor. Terrie told us about joining us in 2013 and the first steps they took towards developing a CSR policy. Their main responsible business focus has been around supporting communities in boroughs neighbouring the City of London. They started working with Tower Hamlets Education Business Partnership and employees now volunteer in local schools, which Terrie says has given employees enthusiasm and confidence that they bring back to work with them. Terrie also told us how Heart of the City events and resources have helped her. Networking with other financial services professionals, sharing CSR ideas at events, using our online resources and getting support from a mentor has helped Terrie bring a structured responsible business programme to the company.
