We’re really excited to welcome Toast Ale as one of our newest ambassadors!
Toast is a UK brewery with a difference. They’re a B Corp and social enterprise that brews planet-saving craft beer with surplus fresh bread from bakeries. 100% of their profits go to charities fixing the food system, and they’re inspiring other businesses to think about circular economy and take their carbon footprint seriously.
They’ve just finished their year on our Foundations for Responsible Business programme and we asked them to continue being in our network as ambassadors, to help support other SMEs.
Here’s what Louisa, Toast’s Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer had to say about her year on our programme and her future ambassadorial role:
‘The Foundations for Responsible Business programme gave me access to lots of useful resources to call upon as we navigate our net zero journey, and connections with people who could offer support and advice. It’s challenging as a micro-SME to find capacity and expertise to work on critical environmental issues, particularly in this challenging economic climate. Yet it’s important that we’re all able to contribute to the solutions, as well as mitigating negative impacts.
For me, being able to help others by sharing my experience is super rewarding, but also an opportunity to learn from them, and hopefully collaborate on delivering greater impact together.’
We know that Toast will be a great asset to our SMEs, as they’re a shining example of how a business can do good, make a profit and protect our planet.
