McLoughlin Decorating is one of the 20 businesses we spoke to as we celebrate having supported 1,000 London businesses. The North London based decorating company has been a Heart of the City member since 2012.
We spoke to Kevin McLoughlin MBE, Chief Executive at McLoughlin Decorating. He told us about they responsible business activities, which focus on people. McLoughlin Decorating has developed an impressive programme training unemployed people in their profession, starting in Islington and increasing across the city within a year. It’s fantastic to hear Kevin talk about how their employment programme works and how the business has now trained 800 people, 40% of which have secured employment. Watch the video below:
