Heart of the City is excited to be participating in Fleet Street Quarter’s Climate Festival, as part of London Climate Action Week 2024.
Heart of the City to join Fleet Street Quarter’s Climate Festival 2024
On 25 and 26 June, Business Improvement District (BID) Fleet Street Quarter will host a Climate Festival, comprising a series of high-level debates, networking, and cultural events, with an overarching theme ‘creating a blueprint for a more sustainable future’.
“Small businesses have a significant impact on both the planet and their communities, yet they often lack the tools and know-how to begin their net zero journey” says Andy Melia, Director at Heart of the City.
“As a charity with a deep understanding of the challenges small businesses face in this area, we are thrilled to be part of the Climate Festival and be part of the conversation. We look forward to showcasing our award-winning climate course, and bespoke programmes designed to help SMEs and supply chains gain the guidance and expertise they need to take positive climate action.”

Across the two days, more than 20 senior leaders in the sustainability, property, finance, media and legal sectors will share their insights on some of the most pressing challenges and opportunities facing business within the Fleet Street area and beyond. Themes include the impact of 2024’s ‘year of democracy’ on business and planet, harnessing the power of “the 1%” in accelerating climate action, decarbonising London’s building stock and growing London’s green skills.
“As one of the oldest parts of London, the Fleet Street Quarter has faced many challenges and has successfully evolved to be a thriving hub for business. Now, in the face of our biggest global challenge, climate change, the district and the businesses within it, are entering a new era of adaptation and transition to net zero” comments Lady Lucy French OBE, CEO, Fleet Street Quarter.
On Day 1, 25 June, the Heart of the City team will be located at the Climate Festival’s Marketplace, located at Framestore on Chancery Lane (5th floor) from 08.30 – 4pm. The Marketplace will be hosted by Heart of the City, Clean City Awards Scheme, the City of London Corporations ‘Climate Action Strategy’ team, and the Castle Baynard Ward. The Marketplace provides an opportunity for those attending the day’s collection of events to learn more about the City’s available resources, awards, and our climate course for SMEs, designed to support SMEs on their journey to net zero.
To access the Marketplace, explore the range of events taking place throughout the Climate Festival and book your ticket to any of the panels at Framestore. View the full programme here.
