Heart of the City, in collaboration with MSDUK, help organisations strengthen and expand their supply chains by supporting small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to become procurement-ready, improve their responsible business practices, and compete effectively for contract opportunities.

Our Supplier Readiness Programme provides practical training, mentoring and expert support to help small businesses understand buyer requirements, demonstrate social value and sustainability credentials, and develop the skills needed to bid for contracts with confidence.

We have successfully delivered programmes in partnership with local authorities (e.g. Southwark Council and Islington Council), with the aim of growing their supplier base. These programmes helped SMEs to grow while helping local authorities achieve their economic inclusion, social value and responsible procurement objectives.
