Corporate catering business Fooditude is one of the 20 businesses we’re highlighting in Heart of the City’s 20th year.

The Southwark-based company has been a Heart of the City member for two years now. When we asked them earlier in the year how their business has changed since joining us in 2019, Dean and Cristina told us they’d given their responsible business activities a formal plan, concentrated on food waste and established the business as London’s sustainable caterer – winning them new business and motivating employees:

We filmed with Fooditude before the pandemic, and we’re so pleased to say they’ve taken their responsible business activities even further since then.

In April, Fooditude’s kitchen re-opened in a new format, kicking off their Covid-19 emergency response. During the lockdown, they cooked packed meals for the most vulnerable and isolated people in their Southwark community, working with Foodcycle and BermondseyEST to get those meals to the people who needed them. And they were able to deliver an impressive 37,178 meals!
