Lunch and Learn: Fairtrade Foundation’s introduction to ESG supply chain risks

For 30 years, the Fairtrade Foundation has been standing with producers for trade justice. But we all need to keep working together to build a fairer, more sustainable future.

In that time, Fairtrade has worked with more than 2 million farmers and workers in 58 countries and generated over £1.7 billion in Fairtrade Premium.

But we know there is still more work to be done. Global supply chains still aren’t fair, with farmers & workers at the sharp end of volatile markets and the increasingly urgent climate crisis.

Even if your business isn’t in the hospitality sector, Human Rights and Environmental Due Diligence are a growing focus for ESG teams across all sectors. It should be on the radar of most businesses.

In this era of increasing accountability and transparency, with green claims being more and more closely scrutinised, partnering with Fairtrade can help you tell the story of your journey to sustainability and a better future.

Why attend

SMEs are essential actors in the supply chain and are key to ensuring economic growth is sustainable and inclusive.

He’ll introduce you to some of the ESG issues that the Fairtrade Foundation tackle and how they’re relevant to you, no matter what sector you’re in or what stage your business is at. From supplying Fairtrade coffee or tea in your office, to engaging with our Centre of Excellence on Human Rights and Environmental Due Diligence, or supporting some of our programmes and partnering with our world renowned brand, there will be something for everyone.
