Lunch and Learn: Introduction to Environmental Management Systems

As small to medium-sized businesses (SMEs) comprise the bulk of the UK economy, it is essential they have the tools to grow while reducing their environmental impact.

In this Lunch and Learn we’ll give an introduction to environmental management systems, which are frameworks used by business leaders to reduce their environmental impact and increase resource efficiency. We will cover how they work, and how these systems can be implemented in any SME, no matter the size or sector.

Join us for an expert-led session where we’ll explore:

  • New methods to increase cost-savings.
  • Further potential benefits of using an environmental management system.
  • Case studies of implementing environmental management systems.
  • Engaging employees and executive teams to create a culture of awareness.

Whether you’re a business leader, HR professional, or sustainability enthusiast, this event will provide actionable guidance on how you can start using resource efficiency to take ownership of your environmental impact.

Gain a deeper understanding on:

  • The environmental implications of business activities.
  • How resource efficiency can lead to environmental stewardship and business success.
  • The main components of most environmental management systems.
  • The process of creating an environmental management system.
  • Areas to consider for potentially creating your own environmental management system.
