Waste management can be a bewildering administrative burden on SMEs, however minimising waste and increasing resource efficiency not only benefits the environment but also makes business sense as well.
One channel for SME’s to ease the administrative burden is through the Clean City Awards Scheme (CCAS) which has been helping City businesses to sustainably manage waste since 1994. Joining the scheme includes access to regular best practice meetings, monthly newsletters, networking opportunities, annual site inspections and affiliation with the City of London.
Being a member of the CCAS can greatly enhance your company’s environmental credentials, improve your company’s image and fulfil your company’s corporate social responsibility agenda. If you are thinking about applying for an award to celebrate your successes, the CCAS also rewards its members for waste management achievements.
