Beck Greener is a small firm without the resources for a dedicated CSR function. However, with the invaluable assistance of Heart of the City, particularly in providing information, networking opportunities and the mentoring scheme, we have been able to identify an opportunity and implement a project where we hope we can make a meaningful contribution to the community, all within the first year of membership. We look forward to our continued association with Heart of the City in the future.

Our Foundation Programme is for businesses in London starting out or working to take a more strategic approach to their existing social and environmental activities. Foundation members are typically busy professionals within a company, with little or no experience of ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’ (CSR).
To be eligible for a place on our free Foundation Programme:
– You must be a London-based small/mid-sized business (SME) of between 10 – 249 employees and less than £40 million turnover
– You must have senior leader buy in
During this one year programme (January – December 2018) we support you to define what being a ‘responsible business’ means for your company, design a structure and strategy for your responsible business activities and build your networks to ensure your business thrives by creating long term value for its stakeholders and society.
As a Foundation programme member you will have unlimited access to our online library of tools and resources and responsible business training and support through:
– Support from a responsible business mentor
– Support from a dedicated membership manager
– Access to over 100 tried and tested templates and resources
– Interactive workshops with the opportunity to network with your peers
According to our members, the top three benefits of setting up a responsible business programme are improved staff morale, improved employee skills and improved customer relations. Responsible business activities also frequently result in positive brand differentiation and product or service innovation, as well providing cost savings to the business through reduced employee turnover or reduced energy consumption.
The Foundation Programme is FREE. The cost of each place is funded by the City of London Corporation and its charitable arm – the City Bridge Trust. Companies must demonstrate their commitment to the programme and why they are interested through a short application form.
Applications for the 2019 Foundation Programme will be open from September 2018 and close on 1st December 2018.
We’d love to hear from you if you’re interested so please register your interest in the programme now!
If you require support but are not eligible for our Foundation programme, we are happy to hear from you and discuss our other membership options.
