Workshop: What’s the Living Wage and why it’s important

Join us for an insightful online event delving into the intricacies of becoming an accredited Living Wage Employer, and why it’s important to your business, and to your employees. Gain valuable insights into the right to an adequate standard of living and how it aligns with the principles of being a Living Wage Employer. The Living Wage is based on the cost of living and should ensure that everyone can meet their everyday needs.

We’ll be joined by the Living Wage Foundation to explain why 14,000 UK employers are Living Wage accredited, and the benefits of becoming a Living Wage Employer. Research by the Living Wage Foundation has shown that 94% of employers benefited from their accreditation, 87% reported it improved their reputation, and 62% said it improved their recruitment process for new staff.

Why attend

This is a unique opportunity to hear from the Living Wage Foundation, as well as an SME from our network who will be able to explain some of the realities of becoming a Living Wage Employer. You’ll also have a chance to meet our other Foundations for Responsible Business members in virtual break out rooms and ask any questions you might have.

This event is a must-attend for businesses and individuals committed to fostering positive change and ensuring a fair and equitable standard of living for all.
