Last week we launched our new business plan at the Bank of England hosted by Mark Carney, Governor of the Bank of England and Co-President of Heart of the City.
Our new five-year business plan aims to reach 38% more companies this year, and to work with companies outside London for the first time. It was fantastic to hear Governor Mark Carney recognise the importance of responsible business in creating an inclusive economy, and to thank our 81 contributors who are experts in responsible business and have supported our SME members to develop their programmes.
We also welcomed Mike Barry, Director of Plan A and Sustainable Business at Marks & Spencer. He talked about the role of small business in supporting the community and environment, as the achievements of our SME members has demonstrated, and the significance of our work bringing together experienced and less experienced companies of all sizes to do well by doing good.
Thanks to our contributors for supporting us through hosting, speaking at or table hosting at our events, mentoring our members and writing resources for us! Find out more about our contributors here.
